Myanmar (Burma)

In the center of Yangon rises the golden spire of Shwedagon Pagoda. Nearly as old as Buddhism itself, 543 years before Christ, and is the most important religious shrine in all of Myanmar. Burma, or Myanmar, as it's now called, is void of western business. No McDonalds, KFC or United Airlines for that matter. Think time capsule. A great place to get out of your element.
